Roti / Chappati / Naan
Ingredients
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of white sugar
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 3 tablespoons of plain yogurt
- ¾ cup of warm water
- Coriander to garnish
Method
- In your Chef Master 101 Stand Mixer’s stainless steel bowl, pour two cups of flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and warm water. Add the oil and yogurt as well.
- Tilt up the head of the Mixer to attach the dough hook and then bring it back to its original position. Begin mixing at Speed 2.
- Continue mixing at the same speed until the dough is smooth and not sticky.
- Sprinkle some flour into a large bowl and place the dough in it, covered in a syran wrap. Wait for 1-1.5 hours until the dough doubles in size.
- On a clean surface, use a rolling pin to flatten the dough into a circle.
- Lightly fry it in a skillet for about two minutes.
- Use coriander to garnish before serving.
